Just came back from the new home… All the walls have been hacked down and they are now plastering the walls to fit in the wall tiles… No matter how meticulous I am with the planning… there’s bound to be something that I missed out… Haizz… moral of the story I think is to just go with the flow.. else I’ll die of stress before the house is completed! haha..

Hacking starts tomorrow @ the new home… and today… my heaviest investment on my house ever was decided… 1.2m long timber strips to be laid in the entire house… this took up about half the reno budget and its an obscene 5 digit figure! It better look great!!!

I choose Rustic American Oak… I love its raw feel with knobs and random wood grain…

Chose tiles for the bathroom and the kitchen this evening… the wall tiles are really cool… brilliant white with puffs that looks like humps of cushion in a sound room wall… the flooring just looks so “modern-retro”… haha… i love it…

Chairs for the New House!

Following my current fetish of Joe & Dough… I fell in love with their chairs immediately and asked them where to purchase them… I was directed to a wholesaler and am sooooooo glad to have bought them at a steal! I even got the rocking chair version of the chair… the original design actually costs close to $800 each!!!

Went to Mayer Marketing to order my 4 ovens and all the kitchenaid and cuisine art goodies… here are 3 of the goodies… 1st installment of my dream kitchen… Thank you BB! Muacks!

MBBS, M Med (Paeds), FAMS, FRCPCH, FAAP, FRACP, FRCP, FACP, Clinical Associate Professor

Dr HO Lai Yun graduated from The University of Singapore in 1973 and obtained his M.Med (Paediatrics) in 1977, admitted as Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1981.

He received his training in Neonatology at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada, under a Commonwealth Scholarship in 1981. He founded the Department of Neonatology at SGH in 1986 and stepped down as the Head, Department of Neonatal & Developmental Medicine in 2004 after 18 years.

He also set up the Child Development Programme in Singapore. He is currently the Associate Dean, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, at SGH & Outram Campus. He served as Master, Academy of Medicine, Singapore from 2006-2008 and is the Fellows of several Medical Colleges in Australia, United Kingdom, USA and Thailand.

Dr Ho is also an active volunteer in community services in Singapore and is a Board Member of the National Council of Social Service
